December 2010

December 2010 has been a busy time for us! This twins turned 2 on Dec. 17, but we had their party early in the month so the Oregon family could be there. I made a train cake for them and they had a blast! They are potty training and doing very well. I think having twins actually helps in this case because when one does something, the other one wants to as well. I can't wait for the day of NO MORE DIAPERS!!!

The move from Pilot Rock, OR to Bountiful, UT went smooth. The roads were clear and the kids were surprisingly well behaved! My mother-in-law Julie came with my and the kids and I'm so glad for her help. I don't know how I would've done it by myself. Bob drove the moving truck a few hours behind us. After we got to our new home and unpacked like mad men (3 days to be totally settled in and have xmas lights, tree, and decor up) we went to relax a little. We went to this really awesome restaurant and then went to temple square. We had a great time and I got some neat pictures.

Bob is gone for his 8 day work week so the kids and I are trying to get used to Bountiful and I'm trying to figure out things for us to do to keep us busy. I joined Gold's Gym and am loving it! They have theaters to work out in; quite a step up from Pendleton's gym. We like Bountiful so far, but hope we can meet some friends soon. Here are some pictures of December.

The Past Year

It has been over a year since I last posted to our blog. Time flies by, doesn't it!!! I guess I'll start with our biggest news. We are moving to Bountiful, UT on Dec. 10th. We are very excited for this new adventure but will miss being close to family.

Bobby is working for the Union Pacific Railroad now and loves it! We are closing the hardwood flooring business and selling all of the equipment/truck/trailer. Bobby is very happy to be done with the business and the stress it causes! With the railroad, he works 8 days (away, wherever they are working, and stays in a hotel) and then gets to be home for 6 days with us. He plans on applying for any & all maintenance positions that come available in the area so he can have a more regular schedule that allows him to home every night and to work in the area instead of traveling to the job site. Hopefully that will happen in the next year!

I can't believe the twins will be two years old on Dec. 17th! I guess I shouldn't call them "babies" anymore. They are busy little guys, but so much fun. I feel blessed to experience the novelty of twins.

Keanan's personality is blooming; he is a fun guy to be around. He is attending part-time preschool here in Pilot Rock and loves it. Hopefully that will continue when we get to Bountiful.

As for me, I am staying busy being a stay at home momma to 3 and wife to 1. I can't wait to have more do to at our new place. PR can get pretty boring, especially since I'm 20 minutes away from everything. I hope to get into running again and do some runs there in the Salt Lake area. I hope to find lots of fun things for my kids to do in Bountiful. I hope to find some good friends there. I am ecstatic to be SO close to many beautiful temples...I love going to the temple!

Here are some pictures to help capture the last year:
